Northshore Apparel Ghana required a comprehensive technology infrastructure for their new large-scale garment manufacturing facility in the Light Industrial Area of Savelugu, Tamale. The facility needed a full suite of ELV systems to support daily manufacturing operations, staff management, physical security, and inter-departmental communications — all delivered to enterprise standards within a defined project timeline. The project demanded a technically capable partner who could coordinate multiple technology systems under a single deployment, minimising integration risk and ensuring all systems worked cohesively from day one.
Boldnet, working in partnership with Intecsys Consult Limited, took on full responsibility for the ELV scope of the project. The deployment covered: enterprise LAN infrastructure using Huawei S5735 and S5735-S PoE switches (14 units, 48-port) with a Huawei CloudEngine S6730 core switch; wireless coverage via 20 Huawei AirEngine 5773 Wi-Fi 6E indoor access points managed by a Huawei AirEngine 9701 wireless controller; perimeter and facility security via FortiGate 100F next-generation firewall; IP CCTV surveillance covering production floors, entry points, and sensitive areas; biometric access control at all restricted zones; a distributed PA system for facility-wide communications; and a GrandStream UCM6302A IP PABX with 50 GXP1625 desk phones, 5 GXP2140 executive handsets, and a GXP2170 call routing unit.

The National Pensions Regulatory Authority required a structured LAN integration at their Accra headquarters to support their expanding workforce and the network demands of a busy regulatory institution. The project required installation of data outlets across multiple floors, proper cable management, conduit works, and full patch panel termination — all to professional cabling standards with complete labelling and documentation for ongoing maintenance. As a government institution, NPRA required a PPA-registered contractor capable of delivering a formal, auditable installation with documented test results.
Boldnet designed and executed a full Cat6 structured cabling installation covering the NPRA headquarters. The scope included supply and installation of Cat6 UTP data outlets at all workstations, conduit and cable tray works for neat and protected cable routing, 24-port patch panels (7 units) for centralised cable management in the comms room, face plates, keystone jacks, and all associated accessories, cable termination and testing at every outlet, full labelling of all cables, patch panels, and outlets, and a complete handover documentation package including test results, cable schedules, and as-built records. Boldnet's PPA registration (Supplier No. 554676) enabled formal procurement compliance for this government institution.
NPRA received a fully tested, labelled, and documented structured cabling infrastructure that meets professional standards and supports the authority's current and future network requirements. The organised cable management and clear labelling system significantly reduces the time and effort required for future moves, adds, or changes. All installation records were formally handed over to the NPRA IT team.
Ghana Petroleum Mooring Systems (GPMS), based at the TT Brothers Building in Tema, required an extension of their existing IP network from their corporate office to their technical workshop located within the same facility complex. The workshop LAN was isolated from the main corporate network, preventing workshop staff from accessing internet services, shared resources, and corporate applications. A reliable, high-performance solution was needed that could support industrial operations and be completed within a tight service window of 8–10 hours. The solution needed to use fiber optic technology to ensure long-term performance and immunity to electromagnetic interference in the industrial workshop environment.
Boldnet designed a fiber optic network extension using 12-core single-mode fiber optic cable, providing far more capacity than the immediate requirement and allowing for future expansion without additional cable runs. The installation scope included 200 metres of 12-core single-mode fiber optic cable, two 12-port ODFs (Optical Distribution Frames) at each end of the run, SC/APC pigtails and LC-SC fiber patch cords for clean termination, two Gigabit single-mode media converters (20km range) with 1000-BaseT SFPs to interface the fiber backbone with the existing copper LAN switches at both ends, professional fiber splicing, termination, and OTDR testing to verify end-to-end performance, and full cable labelling and documentation. The complete installation was executed within the estimated 8–10 hour service window.
The GPMS technical workshop is now fully integrated with the corporate network. Workshop staff have seamless access to the main internet connection and all corporate resources — file servers, applications, and communication tools — with Gigabit-speed connectivity over the fiber backbone. The 12-core fiber cable provides significant headroom for future network expansion at no additional cabling cost.
Finnexx Energy Ghana, an oil and gas company based in East Legon, Accra, experienced a failure of their fiber optic network that disrupted internal connectivity and internet access — directly impacting daily operations. The cause of the failure was unknown, and their internal team lacked the specialist fiber diagnostic equipment and expertise to identify the fault. A fast, expert response was critical to minimise operational downtime. Finnexx required a fiber specialist who could rapidly mobilise, identify the root cause, and restore full network connectivity with minimal disruption.
Boldnet mobilised a technical team to Finnexx Energy's East Legon premises and conducted a systematic fiber network restoration process. The scope of work covered fiber path tracing to identify the physical route of the existing fiber installation and locate the point of failure, full network analysis to assess the end-to-end performance of the fiber link and identify whether the fault was physical (cable) or equipment-related, and supply and installation of two SC media converters (Gigabit, single-mode) to replace the failed media converter units that were identified as the root cause of the network outage. Once the replacement media converters were installed and configured, connectivity was restored and full network performance was verified end-to-end.
Finnexx Energy's fiber network was fully restored, returning the company to normal operations. The root cause — failed media converter units — was identified through systematic diagnosis rather than guesswork, ensuring the correct fix was applied first time. Post-restoration network analysis confirmed full Gigabit connectivity across the fiber link. Finnexx Energy's team received a clear explanation of the fault cause and recommendations for preventive measures.
